TYPES OF TRAINING WITH KREATURE.CO.ZA:
CLOSE QUARTER COMBAT CLASSES:
Classes are on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 18:30 to 20:00 at our school / dojo. We cover a wide range of CQC techniques like strikes, kicks, block and parries, locks, escapes, chokes, disarms, knife work, ground work, multiple opponent attacks and many more. Classes start at R60-00 per student per lesson. Friday night classes are usually spent on Firearm techniques and there are specific requirements to attending. We can customise a course to suite your particular needs, but also offer a number of other specialised training courses:
Survival techniques:
- How to prepare Survival bags / Bug out bags / Escape and Evasion bags / Grab Bags
- How to use different survival tools practically e.g. Map reading, Fire starting, Compasses, Water Filters etc.
- Practical Survival in case of emergency.
Rope work courses e.g. 'An Introduction to abseiling and rope work' or 'Tactical rope work' or 'Rope rescue'.
Level 1 – 3 First Aid.
Tomfa, PR-24 and expandable baton (ASP) work.
Tracking of humans.

INTRODUCTION TO DEFENSIVE KNIFE WORK:
Learn the most important basics of self protection with a blade. No matter how big or small, fat or thin, young or old, man or woman, a blade held in a hand that knows how to use it... is a force to be reckoned with. This introductory course is ideal for everybody who wants a quick and easy way of defending themselves effectively. Advanced courses need to be discussed with Gideon directly.
In this course we shall cover:
- Visual Introduction to knife wounds
- The law around knives
- Blade types
- Knife types
- Carrying
- Presentation
- Stance
- Foot work
- Basic cuts and stabs
- Flow drills
- Physical cutting
You need to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, comfortable clothes (no camouflage please), a sweat towel and your favorite carry knife (if you have one). We provide training knives for use during the course.
This is a full day course from 09:00 to 17:00. Prices start from R300-00 per student per day.
CQB Level 1:
The Level 1 course is an introduction to the more basic of the CQB techniques, and will give you a good grounding in defending yourself against sudden, violent and often surprise attacks. On this course you will learn basic CQB techniques using handguns, knives and simple but deadly hand-to-hand techniques. There are 3 levels, and each of these leads into the next. Each level also has different modules that you can complete as additional qualifications. Costs start at R1,500-00 per student, excluding range fees, firearm rental and ammunition. You must have a valid competency certificate for the firearm type you intend to use BEFORE being able to attend this course.

You will need:
- Notebook, pen and pencil
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Appropriate clothing for seasonal inclement weather (hot, cold, rain) - No camouflaged clothing please!
- Meals that can be eaten during training
- Eye and ear protection
- Knee and elbow pads (optional)
- Water bottle or hydration device
- An open mind
- It would help if you have a pistol chambered in 9mm, .40 cal, or .45 ACP with a minimum of two magazines, concealment style holster and magazine pouches, 500 rounds of ammunition and a weapons cleaning kit. This will reduce your costs to attend the course dramatically.
This is a VERY physical and emotionally draining course, you need to be at least semi-fit. You need to bring your own food and non-alcoholic drinks, comfortable clothes (no camouflage please), a sweat towel and your favorite carry knife (if you have one). We provide training knives and guns for use during the course.
This is a full 3 day course from 17:00 to 22:00 on the first evening, then 09:00 to 23:00 on the second day and then 09:00 to 17:00 on the last day.
On the last day we go to the Kreature.co.za Paintball range where there is an old car and some "kill houses" that we use with Airsoft handguns and rifles as well as training knives and batons to simulate real life scenarios and we do some force-on-force training.
CQB Level 2 - 4:
Once you have completed Level 1 you may progress to Level 2 and so on. If you feel that you are already qualified to attend any of the more advanced levels you are welcome to contact Gideon to discuss this with him. There shall be a practical and physical test to attend the advanced levels if you have not attended our Level 1 course.
FIREARMS TRAINING:
We can offer firearm training that is SASSETA approved and that may be used for the application for competency certificates. We also offer more specialised firearms training, from individuals to CPO and security personnel. We also offer specialised training for Law Enforcement and Military members only.
Legal Test U/S 117705 Knowledge of the Firearms Control Act 60/2000.

- 123513 - Demonstrate tactical proficiency with a handgun
- 123518 - Demonstrate tactical proficiency with a self-loading rifle or Carbine
